Feathered Remains ...




The shallow sloughs no longer hold water.  The earth is dry and filled with deep cracks.  The scattered remains of feathers are found here and there.  A simple sign that says, there was 'life' not too long ago!  As the final days of summer are whittled away, the evidence of a season coming to an end surrounds us...

  1. Terri, your description reads like a poem. Well written! I feel a sense mournfulness! The photos are saying goodbye and also have a sense of loneliness that the end is near for summer! I hear "ghost town" music!
